How Single-Tooth Anesthesia Can Improve Dental Treatment

There can be several reasons a patient feels apprehensive about their impending dental work. One issue is with the aftereffects of treatment. If you undergo restorative dental work that involves anesthesia, you may be bothered by the way the numbing of your mouth can complicate your day. Thanks to single-tooth anesthesia, those issues can be avoided. Single-tooth anesthesia allows your dentist to concentrate the anesthetizing effect on the tooth undergoing treatment. This means you still enjoy a more comfortable treatment experience, with fewer side effects. This method is effective enough to still limit the discomfort that might accompany a procedure. (more…)

The promise of Invisalign is a tempting one for many people – instead of bracket and wire braces, you will use clear plastic aligners to move teeth. What You Should Expect From Your Dental Crown

Dental crowns are not always needed to restore teeth after problems occur. Many patients who come in for cavity treatment will leave after having a dental filling placed. The filling is capable of occupying the area of your tooth lost to decay, but more serious structural damage can call for more support. A crown completely covers your tooth, all the way down to your gum line. Because you can have a crown that is made with natural-looking dental ceramic, you can make sure your smile is not hindered by the presence of your restoration. Because it provides total coverage, your crown is able to keep a vulnerable tooth safe when you bite and chew food. (more…)

Your Dental Experience Should Be A Comfortable One

When you come in for dental treatment, your comfort should be treated like a priority. Your dentist understands this, and will work to provide you the best possible environment when you come in for care. Unfortunately, some people will struggle to feel at ease simply because they have anxieties about dental work. While concern can be a natural reaction when you come in for more involved work, like a root canal treatment, you should not feel like anxiety is unavoidable when you sit down in the dentist’s chair. Every patient can count on support, attention, and dedicated care from everyone on staff at the office. For those who still feel persistent anxiety, dental sedation can help. (more…)

Snoring is an embarrassing condition – sleep apnea is a potentially dangerous one. Sleep apnea can seem like particularly heavy snoring to some. Your dentist can treat you in order to prevent your condition from continuing to cause health concerns. (more…)

You May Need A Root Canal Treatment To Stop A Severe Cavity

Tooth decay can start small, but as it continues to spread, you can find yourself with a problem that poses a big threat to your oral health. One issue in particular is the development of internal problems caused by a cavity. If oral bacteria are able to enter the interior of your tooth, you can feel pain and sensitivity, and face a real chance of losing that tooth. With a root canal treatment, your dentist can access the infection within your tooth, and remove it. This removal will protect you from the loss of your tooth, and from the risk that bacteria will spread through the tooth’s root, causing more problems. (more…)
